A couple of months ago I moved here to Quebec (east Canada), before that I lived in the province of British Columbia which is called by many as "Beautiful British Columbia", and it really is but the corruption is growing at unprecedent levels, so after reading your post I'd refer it from now as "Beautiful but corrupt British Columbia"

My fondest memory of Edenvale is in the mid '90s sometime. Sitting at the bar in the Duneden Hotel. Some dude walks in and orders a Chivas and cream soda. I look over and chuckle, thinking it's a joke. It is not. Barman pours and serves it without missing a beat.
I avoid further eye contact and finish my Windhoek draft.
