Hi, My name is Cliff, I own the Adventure Bike Shop along with my wife Jenny, we came into this business by accident, we had travelled by BMW F650's from the UK to NZ, we actually made it to Australia but we were only there for 10 days before having to end our round the world trip because my father was very ill back home, one day we will finish the trip and do the Americas before returning to Australia and then riding the same route back home in reverse.
Our travel website is still live as it was when we got back, www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk.
We started the Adventure Bike shop from the garage after i ran out of work, now its our life, working 6-7 days a week to keep up, one day we will finish the trip !

Hi,

I am a great fan of Adventure Bike TV :)

Have all episodes on my iPad (last download today), to watch on long flights :)
It been great to be involved with Adventure Bike TV, having financed it and been involved from the start we have now stepped back a bit, we are still involved just not spending so much on it for now, need to give it a biot of a break so we can come back with something a bit more proffessional than "Rubbish at Adverts Great at Adventures" I never have been a natural on camera !

Glad to have someone authoritative in the industry on the forum here. I guess you're in the process of becoming a vendor on here? If not, I don't think they'll be too happy with links getting posted.
Authoritative, me ! I have not looked for or used the foirum before, I just dont get enough time so spend on the forums, I dont know anything about the vendors thing on here but i am sure an administrator will contact me and tell me all about whats on offer soon, I do already sponser/advertise as a vendor on UKGSer and the Tiger 800/1200 forums and would be glad to get more involved with the AT forum, especially now Honda have finally added a decent adventure bike to there range

Nice to see you on here Cliff.

Now your adverts are no longer on ABTV I miss them - the Metal Mule one gets a bit much after a few repeats. Your ones varied a bit and had some humour in them.

There are a few debates raging on here about varying types of equipment - I'm sure people would appreciate any advice you could offer if you have the time. Short of blatant advertising that is!!

I Must admit i never liked our trailer on ADV TV, the filming went bad right from the start of the day, we expected a quiet winter day for filming and we were as busy as **** so everytime we tried to film we were interupted, I just got more stress and made even more mistakes so we decided to try and make something humourous out of what we had, loads of people tell me they liked it but i have never been that happy with it, however I do listen yto my customer and have grown used to it.
Must admit that first time i thought the MM trailer was good, but once you have seen it a couple of times it does get a bit ...... boring
The plan is to return in January with new trailers, hopefully they will be better but still have some humour in them.
As for advice, I am here to help time permitting, we never sell stuff in the shop, we just try to provide the info people need and give them advice that is relevant to the use they will give the product, then we let the customer make his own mind up, we find that's the best way as neither Jenny or myself have ever done anything involving sales before the Adventure Bike Shop

Cheers

Hi Cliff

Have you or Klim discontinued the Blade jacket - I was toying with getting one or a Latitude for my next jacket as I don't seem to be able to fit the Apex jacket (and I've tried a lot as I really like it!!).

Many thanks.

Cheers

We do not stock the Blade jacket anymore, it was not a good seller, fit was about the same as the Apex which we do still have in stock, Latitude is very different to the Blade/Apex, good jacket and the size range is in stock though we do not have all teh colours in all the sizes

Cheers
