Hi everyone,
Well after much research/many test rides I decided on the Africa Twin and after hitting the phones last week I managed to find one in stock at a Honda Dealer in Blackpool, delivered on Thursday. Can't be doing with hanging about, Two Wheels in Edinburgh couldn't supply until end of May!
Been riding for 40 years and have done the usual route via mopeds, sports bikes, naked bikes, tourers and finally Adventure bikes! My last steed was a Ducati Diavel which I thoroughly enjoyed and surprised many a sports bike rider with its speed and handling! Toured with it around Europe too.
However the AT is better suited to the hilly, twisty roads around me, as I am based in the biking Mecca that is Moffat in the Scottish Borders.
Here's a picture of my bike on her maiden run via the Selkirk to Moffat road alongside St Marys Loch.
Many smiles per mile and she got a lot of interest at the coffee stop!
