I bought a Red DCT yesterday.

When I got home in the evening I intended to install a heated gear coax outlet, or if I were feeling ambitious, move the heated grips that are currently on my FZ1 over. But I removed the seat and found no battery so I did none of that.

As I was looking into battery location and wondering what power distribution module to use, I saw that Eastern Beaver was a member here, which led me to his site, where I found he makes a CRF1000L-specific PC8 kit. Since I don't have a clue how long the wires should be between battery and PC8, I bought that one.

Looking forward to getting it setup so hooking up accessories will be easy! Well hooking up the Honda power outlet looks like it might take some work when it arrives.

I refueled for the 1st time today. I love it so far.

Welcome. Hope you will post some photos when you do your power mod, that is one I would like to try myself.
Here they are. I fastened it with double-sided tape.

I haven't been able to get the seat in low position after--though I had a hard time doing it before. If used a different mounting technique (e.g. screws or glue), it might be 1.5 or 2mm lower and that might help with the low seat position.

I may check with Eastern Beaver if he knows of a mounting technique that will allow the seat in low position.
