I like that they have mounting points for auxiliary lights pre-drilled by the looks of things...
The reason the Honda bars are so much more expensive is because they are made of an aluminium alloy, light and strong. All the after-market crash bars I've seen are steel, strong but heavy.
People keep saying that the motorcycle already weights 220+kg so what's a few more kg's. If you say that with every after-market accessory then everything adds up eventually and you will effect the handling. Personally I will try to keep the bike as light as possible and with manual I've got a 10kg head start already ;-)
Did you get your bars and have you fitted them? what are they like quality wise?Hi. 1st off, Honda need to drop the drop the price of accesories, total rip-off. So I ordered some crashbars from Holan.

£146:00 including delivery..obviously cant coment on the quality yet. and my Bike wont be here till April.
The Honda bars are steel but they are light 2.5kg for the kit 1.95 for the silver wrap around bar. Possibly they are a steel alloy hard to tell but they are light. They are rubber mounted at both the main chassis bolt on location and the 4 bolts that hold it to the mounts. It is very quick to remove for servicing. They feel as strong as anything else I have ever used [email protected] and TT.The reason the Honda bars are so much more expensive is because they are made of an aluminium alloy, light and strong. Thanks for posting, I really like the look of these but as far as I know they are not available for DCT models. Here's mine, Holan, arrived yesterday. Mounting took me less than an hour, included the headlight protector.
I paid 160 euro for bars AND protector, shipping incl. !
I got an email from them yesterday saying DCT will be released end of next week.Yes, that's right. Probably Holan is working on a DCT-compatible version...
