Hi everyone,

I couldn't find an answer, and Holan hasn't relied as yet. But I wanted to know if anyone has the installation instructions for the crash bars?

I wanted to see how they are mounted before making a purchase.
They look like they could do a better job than the 2 point mounting other companies are offering... Their pro version offers what I can as 4 point mounting?
I'm wondering if I can mix and match different bars.
I'm not a huge fan of the Holan Engine bars, as they seems to be mounted the same as say Touratech.

Speak of other companies offering crash bars - My local Touratech guys are hard at work trying to get me some of their bars to get my business as they know I'll be back there again to pick up more stuff.
Such a shame that they are so behind in stock and production on a much anticipated bike.

Thx
Rich

I have the Holan bars - very happy with them. Quality finish and good fit. Although I didn't get any fitting instructions they are pretty easy to fit.

They mount to the front lower engine mount bolt, and the radiator mount points and horn mount point, they also have a mount to the frame behind the headlight.

Not sure if the pics help, if you need some close up shots just let me know.

BTW: If you also get the Holan engine bars, the right side front mounts to a lower frame mount and the left side shares the same mount point as the left crash bar.

Thanks Nessy!
Thanks exactly what I needed to know. And the plus side is, you got the same color bike as me, and I was wondering what the black bar on black would look like.

While we're here. What spot light are those and where did you splice to get power from?
Thanks again.

Hi Nessy,

Would you mind uploading a close up on the TOP mount of the engine crash bar? I would like to see how they are layer on top or bottom of the other bar. Thanks!

Re: True Adv - they have it listed already! Just no picture. Should be same looking tho.

The lights are also from Holan - I took a feed from the aux power outlet behind the front cowl.

Thanks again.

Thanks for posting those pics. You don't reckon the radiator mount points could cause damage to the radiators in the event of a drop? I'm trying to decide whether to go with the sport or pro version.

Doubt it very much - the left side uses the horn mount and the right side uses an additional plate that bolts in front of the radiator mounts and uses the radiator mount holes.

The main mount points are the engine mounts and the mounts to the frame under the headlight, I think these points would bear most of the brunt in the event of a drop/crash.

Thanks for taking the time to comment/post the pic.

It looks like there's some clearance behind the light toward the bottom, but it's hard to tell at the top, how much space do you reckon there is in cm? Cheers.
