Early this morning on Facebook, Honda Portugal posted and removed the apparent spec sheet for the CRF1000L Africa Twin



Power: 70 kW (93 horsepower)
Torque: 98 Nm (72 ft-lbs)

Dry Weight: 208 kg STD (458 lbs) 212 kg ABS (467 lbs) 222 kg DCT (489 lbs)
Wet Weight: 228 kg STD (502 lbs) 232 kg ABS (511 lbs) 242 kg DCT (533 lbs)

Fuel Capacity: 18.8 L (5 gal)

502 lbs wet for the STD model isn't half bad at all, bet that pipe is good for at least 10 regardless... Looks lithe like a CRF450...

5 gal tank should be good for about 200-225 miles on a tank...the Honda twins are usually fantastic for fuel economy... maybe even longer if theres an ECO mode... DCT probabaly even better...

Peak power at 7500 RPM, probaably a pretty flat torque curve.. can't wait to see the sheets!!

honestly after watching the video and seeing the specs, I'm betting this thing is going to be as close to a 1000cc dual sport as you can get.

Hondas been saying since day one this thing is going to be great in the dirt, I don't think they're lying either...

As for Africa Twin pricing... seeing how the 2015 V-Strom 1000 ABS goes for $13,999 (USD), where do you guys think we could see Honda position price on the Africa?

As for Africa Twin pricing... seeing how the 2015 V-Strom 1000 ABS goes for $13,999 (USD), where do you guys think we could see Honda position price on the Africa?
Probably a bit lower than the V-Strom 1000 since the Africa twin's power and torque is slightly lower in comparison.

I took a look at the same site and a new article came out estimating that the base model will be around £9000 and £12,000 for the to range DCT version.
