When is the Africa Twin launch again?

November 2015 in Switzerland. From my dealer.

at 14 seconds I believe thats the first time we've seen the DCT used...

It will take a while to get used to it but I'm glad the Africa Twin still comes with a foot shift lever to help with the transition.

A rumor in France is coming. AT delivery will be delayed to January 2016. Wait and see.

Interesting, possible to share more details or source? I wonder if a European delay would affect NA buyers...or is Honda trying to bring our two launches closer together...

Switzerland looks like a beautiful place to live and drive around. It looks awesome. The Africa Twin also seems like it would be very well suited to the terrain there. It should do well.

Yes nice country for the roads. For off-road no. We need to go to France and Italy. Or Maroco. That's a dream for Africa Twin riders.

I have the same info about Estonia, but dealer also told me the same applies to Europe in general...

Anybody on the NA side hear anything about a delay?? like I said above I wonder if this is going to push ours back or align them?

Was Honda planning to release the AT in Europe first and then NA? If that was the original plan then the NA release will most like be pushed back till after the Europe release.

Any predictions for when NA will see it then?

The french rumor is now more precise.

French dealers will go to Spain in January during the Paris-Dakar and come back with an exemplar of the new AT. This will be the bike for the customers test.

This operation will coincident with the arrival of the Paris-Dakar.

It seems like the question should be not when, but why the delay? The possibilities are endless but the one you don't want to hear is reliability problems. There's a lot of new technology (30+ patents) so there's a lot of opportunities for surprises. Nobody wants to be the Beta tester for a new model, especially using their own money.

Perhaps more simple. The production start seems to be September. Official presentation in November in Milano. Then marketing launch during the Dakar to fit with the name, position.

South Africa rand is rock bottom and The AT is perfect for that beautiful country. I will switch from KTM to Honda. www.bigbiketrip.net

I'm pretty sure Honda will provide you with limited warranty when you initially purchase the AT and that should cover any issues you find while riding around on the first batch.

Rupertu has also reduced my productivity today as I can't stop looking at your site. riding around the world like you is on my bucket list.

I think you're onto something... but its strange that they would make that decision after announcing their plans... its not like the Dakar just presented itself as an opportunity... But I do like the tie up...
