This year I am blessed with an abundance of holidays, and cursed with a brother that can't do our oft-postponed trip from Calgary to Alaska. With a "carry over only one week" policy, I'm now looking for ways to use some of these days while riding to places and seeing all the things.

When Alaska tanked again I decided that I'd ride to SD (yes.... It's Sturgis...) for Revzilla's Get On ADVfest. I've never seen Mount Rushmore, so why not, right?

I still need to burn through more holidays. When is Horizons Unlimited? It turns out that is the weekend before Revzilla. I've always wanted to go to that one, and Nakusp is a gorgeous area to ride.

So, on to the questions.

1. Has anyone ever been to a Horizons Unlimited event?
2. Did anyone go to the inagural Revzilla event last year?
3. Really reaching here, but has anyone ever ridden from the interior of BC to South Dakota, and do you have any advice.
4. Really really reaching - anyone interested in this particular itinerary, and want to join? BYOT (Bring Your Own Tent!)

I was thinking about going to the Black Hills event as well though I'm only a few hours away. Seemed like a lot of money for tent camping though.

Yeah, $400. But it includes all meals, and all the lectures / talks / etc. Plus 1 year of Rever.
I would like to check it out... The price is worth it to me.
