Most ADV bikes are heavy, the BMW R1200GS probabaly being the pinnacle. I don't think the specs have been released yet but the speculation pegs the CRF100L AT at 440 lbs (wet).

Most ADV's are up over 500, some stretch into 600...

Imagine how light she would be as a 100 >:)
With how horrible Honda has been to the U.S. market regarding dual-sport bikes, referring to the XR650L (ancient garbage), I wouldn't doubt that a Honda think tank would somehow convince the board to build a 99cc dual-sport for our market.

They owe us a 1000L that will go down in history as a fantastic bike for fair money. If they build it and sell it for 1190 or R1200GS money, I will never buy another Honda. If they price it close to the 800XC, then that will become a game changer bike and I will maybe even buy another Honda SUV to pull my 1000L, and 100L, to the nicer places to ride it.

Welcome to the forum!
Thanks a Million Guys....

Thanks guys... I am happy that I found your forum. I cannot express, in few words, how excited I am that we may potentially get a dual-sport bike from Honda that could be a class leader. Please, please, please HONDA, keep the price fair and don't think that it's okay to price it well above the 800XC or even the DL1000 and let it be a bike as capable as the 800XC.

I look forward to reading more about it here...

Thanks again for the kind welcome....
Kindest regards,
Jim

By the way looking back at those weight numbers, or potential weight numbers, looks like this will be slightly more nimble than others which is always a good thing, can't wait to ride one and even to hear what feedback others have to share.
502 lbs wet for the STD version!!! thats actually not too bad for a 1000cc ADV... on par with Vstorm I believe...

That's not a bad wet weight but you'll have to add in around another 41 lbs if it's fully fueled.
