Hi All,

Just though I'd say hello.
I bought a Tri-colour today after a long and thoroughly enjoyable test ride, looking like delivery in March.

Fantastic bike.... can't wait ;-)

Hey, Tri-colour is red, white and blue - same colours used by Honda Racing Corporation(logo) and anything to commemorate it and to show the heritage. A lot of Honda models over the years have used these colours.

so the mostly white is also termed a tri colour as the colours are the same , Just more white ? that's the one I hope to get :grin2:
Red is officially called as CRF Dakar Rally and white one is Tricolor. Not Tricolour... :wink2:

I always thought Tricolour / Tricolor was derived from the French 'Le Tricolore' - The Tricolour, their national red white and blue striped flag

It's spelt both ways on Honda's website - dependant on whether you're on the US or UK instance

Congrats on the purchase Kev! I'm awaiting the arrival of a Tricolour DCT in Oxfordshire

You are right, even in this official announcement they use both versions;

The CRF1000L Africa Twin will be available in four colour options: two standard and two Special Edition colours:

CRF Rally Red (SE)
Africa Twin Tricolor (SE)
Digital Silver Metallic
Matte Ballistic Black Metallic

Racing is in Honda’s DNA and the CRF Rally, with its Extreme Red and Victory Red stripes, plus three-tone seat echoes HRC’s CRF450R Rally machine. The Tricolour option pays its dues to the heritage of the original XRV750L Africa Twin, with unmistakable lines and paint to celebrate the machine’s return.

And sorry this little OT! 0:)
