another MotoGP championship over 😢 however it was a great fun
MotoGP Valencia final race yesterday:
  • Bagnaia clinched the World title 🏆
  • Suzuki checked out with a style P1
  • Jorge Martin is soo good in qualifying, why can't he deliver on Sunday's ?
  • Vale, Ago and F1-F. Alonso on hand to celebrate
  • Ducati wins after 15yr drought
  • M.Marquez riding like mad, hit gravel, DNF
  • Quartararo will be happy and sad, both at the same time, he did a lot with Yamaha this year, the bike was just not fast enough on straights
  • Miller from P4 hit gravel, DNF
  • Great and exciting 2022 championship in all three categories.
  • Morbidelli never recovered from that knee surgery, just can't bounce back, wonder if his days are numbered?
  • Miller will do good in KTM, alongside with B. Binder, they just need the bike in top shape, also Miller needs to keep his falling in check :ROFLMAO: ...lots of bruises to kiss-it-better, for Ruby Mau 💋

Everybody wants for Suzuki to stay, Alex Rins even won yesterday and Mir came at P6 which is amazing, Suzuki is in the top3 of the most competitive machines. It must have been hard for Rins and Mir,
to race knowing this is the end, I'm surprised they did find the motivation.

Mir said:
“I don't know if you saw. I didn't celebrate it. I didn't want to celebrate this last race with Suzuki. Because for me, it's not a happy day,” Mir explained. “We will not work together as a team again, and this makes me sad.”

2023 will look something like this:

Ducati qty 8
Aprilia qty 4
Honda qty 4
KTM/GASGAS qty 4
Yamaha qty 2...are they next, to pull the plug?

Hard to believe Bagnaia was 91 point behind at one point, half way through the championship

Some what surprising to see Marc on the podium but I think most if this years success for him will come in those races, unless Honda can fix that bike!?

Jack - I was not expecting that 👏🏻

The double overtake that MM93 did was not bad. To bad that Enea is out for tomorrow.

93 is some thing else isn’t he?

I predict this year will be whom can stay the healthiest, if you get injured then you can miss a lot of points in a short space of time.

I hope Pol is OK, he must be the rider that has crashed the most on that grid?

Espargaro suffered a fractured his jaw, fractured his dorsal vertebrae, and suffered a pulmonary contusion (a lung injury) during Friday practice at the Portuguese MotoGP.
“Of course, he’s in pain.
“We were really worried about his back. It is minor. His legs and arms are moving. His issue with his lungs makes it difficult to breathe properly but it will be 24-48 hours to recover.
“The biggest problem is his jaw. They are analysing whether he needs surgery or not.
“He will fly back to Barcelona, go to see a surgeon and doctors. Then we will issue a clearer statement on how long it will take to recover. I believe it will quite a while.”
It is “impossible” for Espargaro to return in time for next weekend’s Argentina MotoGP meaning Augusto Fernandez will be the sole Tech3 GASGAS rider.
A timeline for Espargaro’s comeback is unknown until he arrives home in Barcelona and undergoes further examinations.
Espargaro's high-speed crash in Portimao took him to the outside tyre barrier, and his RC16 followed him in.
MotoGP riders had, separately before the weekend, complained about the dangers of the gravel used at the Portimao circuit.
On Saturday, 24 hours after Espargaro's crash, Enea Bastianini broke his shoulder blade in an accident during the first-ever sprint race.

BT Sport (The UK’s title broadcaster for MotoGP) interviewed Herve (Poncharal) and he said pretty much those words about Pol. What is astounding to think is wearing one of the those helmets and still breaking your jaw, that is a one mighty impact and some felt it could if been the bike following Pol into the wall but I can’t see that? The gravel is not ‘the right gravel’ but you can see that Tome Alfonso/Loris Capirossi and his safety gang had not expected riders to travel that far at that point on track (worth noting neither had any rider up to that point despite several T10 crashes)……there was not much gravel in front of the tyre wall and no air fence either (although later put in for the race), it’s like some thing out of the 90’s/00’s. I very much doubt Pol will be returning for a while, imagine pulling a race helmet on over a broken jaw and being able to breath heavily with those lungs? I think its about time some one protected Pol from him self for a while though, his career crash stats are mindblowing!

Gutted for Bastianini also, whilst I still believe his title hopes are far from over it has hindered them some what…..I wonder now that Ducati have won the championship (huge relief for all Ducati riders) whether all those other riders will feel a little more, shall we say less bothered whom is in their way on track? 😉

Gravel doesn't do much if you are just skimming and bouncing over it...I am surprised nobody can come up with something better... maybe crushed foam, some sticky gel, waterproof cardboard boxes or circus netting should work better imo

What about the race of MM93, I think he is a to reckless racer and tries to hard to win again (or to win because he always rode like this) I hope he gets a penalty for the incident with Olivera. I feel sorry for Olivera, his home race getting kicked out by a reckless Marquez...

Looked totally reckless from Marc, we have seen this before on many occasion, in his own words he is a arsehole on track. I will surprised if he makes it across the boarder in to Spain tonight. 😂

On a related note, why have the big Japanese manufacturers been sleeping for the last five years?

Portimaõ is not that far from the Spanish border, that's his luck 😅

Or the European manufacturers have made a pact to beat the Japanese builders, the chinese are coming...🤭 Maybe do the Japanese builders have to combine the bikes, Honda engine and the frame from Yamaha, a Honaha 🤣
No, they really have a problem, the speed of the Ducati's is amazing on the straight and the Aprillia's and KTM's are coming too.
BTW, MM93 got a double long lap penalty in Argentina for his actions in Portimaõ

I think they way (Aero + electronics) the Ducati gets the power down is impressive, they clearly have thrown a lot of money at recruiting the right people……and “may be” taken Magneti Marelli to some VERY nice restaurants!? 😂

No penalty for MM93, wrong formulation of words. Only double lap penalty at the gp of Argentina... MM93 is out for Argentina 😅

MM has always been a very aggressive rider. That characteristic is one of the reasons he has done as well as he has. He also has reactions like a cat. And he works hard on his strength training. It is always fun to watch him race.

He is a hard worker but aren't they all? But everytime he has to fight to get in front there are incidents or crashes despite to the other riders. Is this the way to get in front of everybody? I don't think is fun to watch when riders are getting hurt because of this riding style. Just my thoughts... I rather love to see a clean race were the riders are competing each other with a lot of overtakes and without crashing bikes and hurt themselves or others...
He is, and some work harder/smarter than others. Regarding on-course incidents, I think back to an interview Ayrton Senna gave to Jackie Stewart once:

I think Marc would agree with Ayrton.
