another MotoGP championship over 😢 however it was a great fun
MotoGP Valencia final race yesterday:
  • Bagnaia clinched the World title 🏆
  • Suzuki checked out with a style P1
  • Jorge Martin is soo good in qualifying, why can't he deliver on Sunday's ?
  • Vale, Ago and F1-F. Alonso on hand to celebrate
  • Ducati wins after 15yr drought
  • M.Marquez riding like mad, hit gravel, DNF
  • Quartararo will be happy and sad, both at the same time, he did a lot with Yamaha this year, the bike was just not fast enough on straights
  • Miller from P4 hit gravel, DNF
  • Great and exciting 2022 championship in all three categories.
  • Morbidelli never recovered from that knee surgery, just can't bounce back, wonder if his days are numbered?
  • Miller will do good in KTM, alongside with B. Binder, they just need the bike in top shape, also Miller needs to keep his falling in check :ROFLMAO: ...lots of bruises to kiss-it-better, for Ruby Mau 💋

Everybody wants for Suzuki to stay, Alex Rins even won yesterday and Mir came at P6 which is amazing, Suzuki is in the top3 of the most competitive machines. It must have been hard for Rins and Mir,
to race knowing this is the end, I'm surprised they did find the motivation.

Mir said:
“I don't know if you saw. I didn't celebrate it. I didn't want to celebrate this last race with Suzuki. Because for me, it's not a happy day,” Mir explained. “We will not work together as a team again, and this makes me sad.”

2023 will look something like this:

Ducati qty 8
Aprilia qty 4
Honda qty 4
KTM/GASGAS qty 4
Yamaha qty 2...are they next, to pull the plug?

Hard to believe Bagnaia was 91 point behind at one point, half way through the championship

Well, that was the dullest Sprint race so far but still enjoyable……great to see Rins on the podium, I do like him as he rides fast and clean and always gives a great interview.

The main race could be a war of attrition if that weather stays the same.

More action in the EWC 24hrs of Les Mans than Motogp now, those pit stops and crash repairs are amazing to see. Suzuki Sert crashed the gsxr almost total lost in the first lap and 28min later back in the race, now after 19hrs of racing position 7 with 11 laps behind. those guys know their stuff 😎

Awesome isn’t is? Sylvain’s pass on the Honda earlier was ace, as if to say “thats for hitting us on L1” - no prisoners 😂

I went last year to the 24hrs of Spa and seen it live. Awesome!! Complete gearbox change in less than 20min, no stress in that pitbox😱

Miller's public announcement: "if I win I'll buy a boat for myself for Xmas" ...wtf is he talking about??? Sounds silly...he can buy 2 or 3 boats, maybe he should check his bank accounts from time to time

Great fight between Binder and Bagnaia, and yes it seems KTM found the Ducati power/ acceleration formula 👏

Ha - I think he was waiting for a financial meltdown and boat prices to fall a bit, seems it he still likes a deal 😆

The launch control of those KTM’s 👌🏻, poaching all those Ducati staff over winter has paid off.

There is only one bike worse than the Yamaha and thats the Honda right now, I wonder if Marc Marquez will go to another team next year? HRC have been on a gradual decline for 10yrs, it is really sad to see. It is like they do not want to invest in racing any more?

MM should retire, honestly, he is battered and bruised and he doesn't stand a realistic chance to be on the top again. He's got nothing to prove, he accomplished everything, so just gracefully step down, start another team or something, and enjoy the fruits of your labor for a decade or two. Once he hits 50's his broken bones and injuries will start to hurt again.

Everything but topping Agostini...I suspect he would like to claim the mantle Agostini wears today per the AMA: "...perhaps the greatest Grand Prix rider of all time."

He's definitely a driven individual.

Not a MM fan then @Dado ? 😂

On a competitive bike he would still be winning races, and not crashing as much as he has been doing overriding that Honda. He must know that, and as long as he does then he will continue to race……I have no evidence but my feeling is that he wants to beat Rossi’s 9 titles.

As for the injuries, he’s a risk taker and you can’t just stop being one of those.

Maybe he's talking about a luxury yacht? one of those multi-million, ocean-going things like this:

J. P. Morgan once said something like "If you need to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it." I believe he was talking about a yacht.

He'll have great company at places like Monaco for F1 races.

Ha,ha I enjoy motorsport and usually don't pick favorite rider, they all get a huge respect from me, doing 350kph on two wheels is Ludacris

Maybe Marc wants a few more trophies, but like it or not I don't think it will happen, too many young talents are knocking at the GP door, Marc's last winning year was (a now distant 2019) so imho a "MM comeback" is highly unlikely.

Personally I don't like when one guy dominates year after year, it gets boring, I would like a different winner every year, they all deserve to taste the prosseco and get their names in the history books.

As far as Honda, I'm afraid they will follow Suzuki

I was actually at the track for this race. COTA is a huge, high-speed circuit. I and some friends walked almost 10 miles (16.1 km) on Saturday in the heat (hi 80s F). I was burnt and drained Saturday night. Race day was much nicer with temps in the low to mid 70s (~24 C). We watched Saturday's qual and the sprint from the grass outside Turn 1. We watched the Sunday races from the left-most section of the bleachers at Turn 15. The bleachers were only about 80% full. You could sit almost anywhere you wanted.

It was a fun race to attend. I especially enjoyed the Moto 2 guys. Even the Moto 3 kids on their 250 Triumph-powered bikes were flying around the circuit.

Maybe? in that case his 17-20Mil Net worth will not buy him those:

Speaking of Miller's Net worth,it seems MotoGP are well underpaid...I.e. his buddy Daniel is in the $100M

Yeah, I actually caught it right after I posted. Turns out I had flipped the 5/9. Thanks for keeping me honest. (y)

That mistake points out a common problem when converting like that, for me anyway. Because I don't use SI units daily, I can't catch the problem right away like you did. If I were more familiar, I would have quickly realized that 55 C = 131 F! You surely saw that right away.

It's for reasons like this that LM pasted Mars with a $125M orbiter back in 1999. Pound-force interpreted as Newton. I did go back to check though and discovered the error. Just not as fast as you did. :)
