Greetings,

I just got the call, my red white and blue Africa Twin allocation was accepted. Should have it in about a month. This means time to start deciding on and accumulating accessories.

My 2014 NC700 will be taking up the position of motorcycles for friends that can't afford, or wife won't approve the purchase. My father always had a nice used bike that he kept just to help introduce new people into the sport and bring his friends on his adventures. Over the years my father brought many of his friends and neighbors to the riding world. His riding gang consisted of friends and family that for the most part were riding one of his old bikes. I hope to carry this on, it's so much more fun to ride with friends.

Excited to be joining this new group and having an Africa Twin of my own.

The NC is a great bike to have around for other people to ride. I think it is probably one of the most accessible choices for new riders. I just got my new Africa Twin and have been deciding on accessories as well. Coming from an NC700X myself, the AT definitely met my expectations.

That's an excellent mentality to have towards riding, and a great way to sell the idea of multiple bikes! That's kind of my reasoning as well, although I just finally pared down to two. It's good to have an extra for friends from out of town. Oddly enough I sold my last CBR to a guy who was buying it for just that reason.
