I am fortunate to live 20 minutes away from Corbin's CA factory and made an appointment for a ride in service scheduled for today. Got there before opening and was the first bike in. They already had my seat mold ready to go and after 3 trial rides, I was happy with the setup. The seat cover took 2 more hours and I was out of there in under 3 hours. They have amazing service, super knowledgeable staff and a truly custom experience. The retro café onsite with free coffee and other riders make the wait very pleasant. There are infinite combinations of materials, colors and designs available and everything is done in house. I can go back anytime for the seat to be further tweaked which I might do after riding on it for a couple of thousand miles. The seat immediately feels more comfortable than the stocker and I am so happy to go this route!

Rugged roads in the UK do a lot of stuff for the Africa. They do a nice one piece seat. Has anyone fitted one and could comment. I have the AT sport and am hoping the seat will also fit the Sport version.

I’ve sat on the same one piece that RR sells on a used AT sitting on a dealers floor. It’s very nice in the flesh and feels fine for the minute I was on it, but obviously no idea how comfy it would be on a daily basis. It will go straight on to the new AT AS and would look great.

IMO bigger isn't always better when it comes to seats. I like how the AT seat is narrow, medium and wide at the back. Not only is it incredibly roomy but you can move back and forth to get the kind of seat you want for the time being. I had a R12000GS rental for 2 days after I rented an AT and the BMW seat wasn't nearly as good. Butt may vary.

I will have to stick with the original seat for now, anecdotally the best alternative available to us here in the UK is the 'Sargent', but the price is high. I could have the original rebuilt, but would it actually be better? I find the seat fine for my usual, 200+/- days out.. but looking forward, I have a trip to the German Eifel region coming up and that will involve a 500 miles ride home. So, I shall be taking this with me. A half sheepskin. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but it really does help. I was able to walk normally after a 980 mile day several years ago. which is all i need to know about this particular 'comfort' solution. I very badly, sewed on some elastic straps which will go under the seat to hold it in place. cheap answer to what can easily be an expensive question. but, not for everyone.

Does anybody know if the one piece Corbin seat will fit with AltRider rack ? My AltRider rack barely overhangs my stock seat but I can still get the seat on and off with no issue.
