OEM Honda Visors Kit Review

15781 Views 28 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  Little Bill Daggett
Greetings,

I'm talking about the 2 deflectors that Honda makes for their CRF-1100 bikes.

P/N: 08R78-MKS-E00 (AT-Basic)
P/N: 08R73-MKS-E20 (AT-Adventure Sport)

Has anybody fitted them to their bike and is it worth the bother? I don't want to waste my time and money otherwise. I thought it would be good to hear from those with experience.

Thanks, Olias

I just have the standard AT and I tried one and it made no difference to me but others have reported it to make a difference so...
What made a difference for me was putting the oem tall screen on, it totally eliminated any buffeting I had. With you having the ATAS I would imagine the screen is tall anyway.
Thanks for the input. I do have the taller screen. I suppose it all depends on your height as well.
Can someone please turn off winter so we can ride 😀

I keep offering my share of Canadian winter to others but no takers so far, not even from those who like using snow skis.

I have a '21 ATAS and felt the buffeting from somewhere. Putting my clutch-hand over a portion of the fork opening shut it off which I assumed meant that area was key. I have added the additional part during the winter but haven't had a chance to test-ride yet so the jury is still out for me.

UPDATE: My buffeting is pretty much gone. Not sure if it was the visors or the fork dam.

I've got a Givi tall screen and a fork dam on my 2019 CRF1000L. I'm 6ft and get no buffeting around my helmet but do get it around the shoulders, Might try some of those deflectors...

I have these on my ATAS and still get hit in the shoulders. I think it’s the gap between raised screen and front cowling. Need to play around more to find the solution for the shoulders but I’m not exactly small chest at 48inch

Thank you...on second thoughts I think I'll just put up with it...
I have the standard DCT and my part # (08R73-MKS-E00) is not found anywhere when I googled it.
Saw ONLY one retailer in eBay selling it for like $10 above MSRP.

Anyone else seen this sold anywhere else?
