Planning our 2 up 2 week trip...packing will be interesting, especially for her who likes to bring the kitchen sink.
Before packing anything to take along, I'm only left with ~75lbs of capacity left !!!!

The good news is that the average kitchen sink is between 20-30lbs leaving you with 45-55lbs for other stuff. 🤣

At the end of this trip I was about maxed out , and is was WAAAAYYYY more then the books max amount. Let’s just say I could easily get the front wheel off the ground in 3rd & 4th… I really should have weighed it all just to see, but it was A LOT of stuff. I was gone 11 days and 4 was camping the rest were B&B so I never took the bag off my top box for 7 days and just kept stuffing it with junk from my trip..
It was a WT$ moment when I finally un strapped it and took it down…

That brings up a good point on front rear loading balance. I'd like to put more weight up front but that's pretty hard to do. Tank bags is supposed to be for quick or common grab stuff not necessarily the heavy stuff. <shrug>

You would be surprised how much stuff you can stick in those big "bucket" type expandable tank bags and you can add crash bar bags to add a little more carrying capacity to the front.
