Are you ready UK? The Africa Twin will be here soon...

Just prior to it's market debut at Motorcycle Live on 28 November, Honda has opened their order books and are now taking Africa Twin pre-orders!

Honda is sweetening the deal for the first 350 customers to place their order. They will recieve a limited edition and numbered, Africa Twin TripMaster and an 80-page history lesson on the Africa Twin.

The TripMaster is standard HRC issue to their rally riders, Bang Bang Barreda and Paolo Goncalves. Buyers will get their TripMasters finished in a silver anodized, machined aluminium casing, engraved with the AT logo and a serialized production number.

As for the history lesson, it is now 30 years since the original Africa Twin lit the desert on fire, taking 4 consecutive Paris-Dakar wins. The book commemorates the original XRV's and takes you through the years up to the CRF of 2015.

I had to pay 500€ for pre-order
If Honda's 2 year roll-out (also read tease and hype) stimulates pre-sales at full MSRP, we'll be seeing more of this type of advertising campaign in the future.
Hi All,
New to this forum. Moving over from KTM's to the Africa twin. I placed my pre order about 8 weeks ago for £100. No specific order details though just colour & Non DCT bike.
Honda have sent me tickets to the UK launch at the Motorcycle live show in Birmingham next week. I get in 2 hours before the official show opens for a preview of the bike and a free breakfast.
Anyway I have looked at the accessories and I must admit that I am not so impressed by them. The least that Honda could have done was make the 12v power socket standard !
Not sure what others are thinking but I won't be buying the plastic/ally panniers as I prefer soft panniers. Also the crash bars take away from the look of the bike. Touratech have some interesting extras you can view on youtube. I am thinking the headlight guard is a must.

Has anyone got any info on the exhaust options ? I saw a video from the Milan show with a Termignoni can which looked great will be interesting to see what Honda Uk have on offer.

Not sure how many pre orders, just that the first 350 get the free bits
I was told they had sold all 350 a few weeks ago, and the Tripmaster plus Book will be at the dealers before the end of February,
