Hi all, Is it just my PC, Internet connection or my windows10, but is anybody else having trouble on this web site?
Everything seems slow to load, and above that when the page is loading it jumps around, doesn't load the whole page, sometimes I click on the login box then it sticks and it wont let me type in anything to log-in, etc etc, I love the site and all the FORUMS but it's becoming a pain in the u know what, I don't have this problem with any other site,,,,, anybody else having the same trouble? any suggestions ? Thanks.

Yes, I had problems as did others. I had a chat with Admin and they helped out. It is ok for me now. I think it had something to do with Add-ons. There is another thread on here about it from memory. Have a search or a chat with Admin.

Yes, it is the targetted ads that impact performance, it is extremely annoying. It is based on cookies, your past search histories etc. My ads will look different to yours (e.g your $ United Airlines Ad Vs my € Custom Teddy Bear Ad) as will everybodies. Thats how forums such as these make threir money. So, as every page for every user has a custom ad(s) that ad has to get fed dynamically from another source, it is not natively on the forum providers website. To the shagrin of the forum provider, use Firefox browser and switch on the adblock plus add-on, hey presto, no ads, clean screen, good performance.

Hi all, thanks for the reply's and suggestions. I have cleared my cache, thanks Nemesis, it has helped a little, so I think we're on the right track, now to contact Admin thanks Griff, and try that FOX fella you suggested eltel62, and Ad's? Gee! I get plenty of them, but never had a Teddy Bear one, yet? at least not that I can remember, :)Thanks again all.

Hey all

If you come across some site slowness, check the bottom left corner of your screen for any dialogue it may be stalling on, like "Waiting for..." following by a URL. If you can grab that URL for us we can figure out which server will need a boot to correct that.

Thanks everyone

Still having problems with this site. Sitting around waiting while the various advertisements load up. Problems editing. I am fed up of it. I get the same excuses, "check add ons", clear them, whatever. How come I don't have to do this on the ADV forum, the Explorer forum, The NC forum etc etc. Exasperation is getting the better of me. I have thought of departing previously but the possibility of some snippets of good info have kept me here. I am now considering an alternative such as signing in once a week instead of daily. Is that what Admin want ? Are the adds that important to them ?

I agree 100% well said. I regularly try to click on something and the screen jumps and I get something else. I still come here and as you can see post once in awhile but this is the worst form I have ever been on due to what you said.

More probs today. Some sort of Security alert with the site certificate. I have had enough and have asked Admin to close my account. I remain on the ADV site using the same avatar. Bye to all.

Can't stay logged in

After I have logged in I change to a different forum and many times I have to login again and the same when I try to do a reply.
Maybe a cookie? I do make all cookies ask to load.
Not a major deal but a bit of a pain.

This does sound like a cookie issue. The site needs cookies accepted in order to remember you from page to page. Try allowing them from this site and see if that changes anything for you?

This is annoying as ****. I'm currently lurking as I don't have an AT (yet). So no plans of trying to increase my post count for no reason.

This is in place to protect the members from spam bots who use images (embedded with links) as a tool to redirect members and infect their devices with malware, or attempt to steal login information.

If you wish to increase your post count, you can welcome new members, or open a discussion on one of the AT's you're looking at getting.

Thanks,
