Quickshifter

Hello guys, does anybody know what is the actual difference between 2020 model quickshifter unit and 2022 model quickshifter unit. Somehow the older one is twice as expensive as the newer one is. And I happen to own a 2020 model.

just bought a 2022 quick shifter for my 2020 bike. From what I have been reading it seems it should work fine, as paying £550 for a quick shifter when I can get one for £200 is outrageous

Ouch.

That is some crazy. Very short industry supply?
So, as posted by one member previously, the cheaper '22 QS works on a '18-'19 ATAS. Does anyone know or have any reason why it would not work on a standard '18 AT?
22 QS works on all 18+ manual and also the other way around, just the initialization and setup instructions are different for 1000/1100 that I posted earlier in this thread.

I ordered this quickshifter and its being delivered tomorrow. I also ordered this service connector since it was listed below on the same page.

KITACO : Service Connector SET [764-9011200]

It says its a 6 pin - looks 4pin.

I took a look on the service connector on my bike and its a 4 pin. In the event the connector I bought does not work, can someone tell me which wire/pins need to be jumped if I need to do this without the connector?

Thanks.
Edit: my bike is an '18. Maybe they changed to 6 pin for '20+?
18-19 CRF1000 US spec SCS jumper wires on bike should be blue/green and grey/blue.

I got this QS installed on '18 AT without issue. I have only done one ride to work since the install but it seems like the throttle is shut off longer or maybe more substantial than is needed. Maybe I am still chopping the throttle out of habit from my own clutchless shifting. Does anyone else have this perception? Down shifts are fine. Setting is at 1 for up and down.
I think you just need to get used to it. I run mine on 1 for both and tried 2 & 3 which were terrible with too much delay time.

Best to get a feel for it doing some longer runs where you can go through the gears wide open. You will get some lag in higher gears just due to the gearbox spacing and suspension movement due to long travel which adds to the perception.

So important that everything works right cutting of motor for next gear
I realised that I haven’t posted the picture after the install

I asked my mechanic why he installed the cables differently and he told me that he thinks this way there will be less cable strain

Looks cool i think its a pleasure riding this

He installed it backwards.
See mine. I left a loop so the cable can move and the reinforced rubber boot kepps the flex to a minimun.
I fastened the other OEM harness with a clamp, and routed on top on a channel over there.
I do not read lately the instructions if Honda changed the installing instructions.

I've not been out on it for a few weeks now because of the cold weather and other commitments. The last few rides I have been out on I didn't use the quick shifter at all, so I will be removing it and selling it. I'll advertise it on here first then ebay if it doesn't sell here.
Hello gays i have 1100 with quickshifter
I speak with my friend mechanic and this gay have the racing team here in Greece 1000 cbr and 600 cbr and we speak about quickshifter he told me not to use because makes promlem to the gear box depth of time.
He is very expert they use on the cbr 600 and 1000 quickshifter from HRC!

And do not worry for damage to the Gear Box.
With the QS, the gearbox shifts smoother than using the clutch.

Me thinks normally maintained chains and rear tire may last longer too. Thoughts?

i.e. case in point ...

I can't count over the years riding in a group and the number of riders who "jerk" their chain when gear shifting and a puff of blue smoke being released by the rear tire at the road surface.
