EDITED: Trying to remove the cover of the servo motor.

Anyone have experience or knowledge of how it is removed? there are two bolts which I have removed but can't locate whatever it is that's still holding it in place and don't want to break it. Took the brake fluid bottle off (to add a cover for it) and the nut that was inside has fallen inside somewhere which I can't get to.

Think it's part number 5 on this diagram which I'm trying to locate, but will know once it's off.

lol - a "brake servo" implies some sort of automatic brakes, ... maybe even remote control brakes and a path to a self-ridin' AT.

I also need to get this manual as I don't have it.

Removed 4 and 6 but the cover won't come off as much as I dare to attempt it for the time being. The nut that has dropped is what 2 goes into.

That nut isn't a nut, well it is but not as you know it Jim. Its a 'threaded chimney U nut' or a 'self tapping U clip' also known as a spire nut etc. If it helps you to find it here's what you're looking for

Makes sense. Think I’m just going to replace it rather than waste more time trying to fish it out. Secured the reservoir with a 10mm nut and bolt for the time being as there’s enough space to reach around the back of the cover.

Need a locknut on the other end for it to be a perm solution as it's just a regular nut holding it right now. Would rather have the correct part on there so ordered it.

Hallelujah, managed to get it back to normal!

Had the wrong part identified (in OP above) as it wasn't the U nut as assumed. Turns out it should be part number: 90303-HA0-680 (#23 on this page) which is a special honda nut. I found this after I saw what the nut should look like.

So went fishing. Could hear it rattling around inside the servo casing and spent better part of an hour fishing out with a magnet and anything pointed to grab it. Eventually, it saw sunlight again.

It sits pressed in from behind the cover, which I managed to pry apart enough to fish it out and place it back where it should be

Job done! finally...

In closing, was it worth the headache? yes as an almost white box shape on an otherwise black bike was an eyesore.

Agreed. The "special nut" does come off easily whereas the U nut would have a much better chance of staying put. Funny thing is, a little over 3 inches to the side you're presented with a secure U nut seated perfectly. This Honda special nut is also used quite a bit on the bike in various places, so something to be mindful of.
