Really I kinda figured we would see them. Not only for the AT but other vehicles as well. Covid threw a wrench into production around the world. Not to mention Honda and their notorious switch’s.

LOL mine left hand gear switch was replaced 3 months ago at first service, horn was working but enter button and left/right toggle buttons didn't work.
Now at neat 8k km all good so far. They screw up these days even simple things like buttons, what one can be sure about engine....

BTW it's not dangerous, I almost never use horn on motorcycle, that is dangerous.

I had this problem back in June with my '25 AT and I took it to a Honda dealership. They told me it was just that the controls "needed to be used more". Specifically, my issue was the bright lights switch. If you flipped it up to turn bright lights on, sometimes they would not turn on. Pushing the button down (for passing) always turned the bright lights on. Most of the time, I would turn the bike off and turn it back on, and the switch would mysteriously start working again. I didn't really care too much so I just blew it off and ignored the problem... until now. LOL. I knew I wasn't crazy!

ROFL typically great service from the dealer, I would of asked them if I should just get rid of the switch‘s and solder the wires together, sure my high beams will be on all the time and my flashers will be blinking continuously but I’ll have use of them when I need them and that is the most important part.
I am very surprised that they didn’t just tell you to carry some duct tape with you and if you need the high beams for any length of time just to tape the button down.

What REALLY sucks for local dealers is that they are NOT ALLOWED to sell ANY new OR USED models that have been recalled. So, if I traded in my AT and they paid me for it, they legally cannot sell it to anyone else until Honda provides them with parts to fix it. They're just screwed. I know a friend who went to buy one but they could not sell it to him for this very reason.

Some recalls are DOT issues as such they are a “known hazard” and a “safe operation issue” in those cases the liability is on the owner.

My letter arrived yesterday. Guess I'll wait until after January 2026 for the new parts to arrive...... Never had an issue though.

Oh wait a minute, I took off my left handlebar control switch box 2 years ago when I added Honda OEM Heated Hand Grips. Never thought they heated up like they should. Blame it on oxidation? 😁
