I recently did that on my AT AS ES DCT to replace a broken turn signal from a drop. The service manual provides quite a few steps to remove the front turn signals.
Set aside about 4 hours and exercise a lot of patience. Helps to have a few extra push pins as some are likely to break upon removal.
Big picture from service manual; numbers are the pages from the service manual; Indentations below indicate dependencies on item above.

To Remove front turn signal (2-15):

Remove front side cowl (2-13)

Remove inner panel cover (2-17)

Remove front center cowl (2-12)

Remove windscreen (2-18)

Remove middle cowl (2-7)

Remove tank front cover (2-6)

You really should purchase the service manual before doing this.
Nurse all covers off softly, otherwise breakage may occur.
This is a bit of a painful exercise, but not too bad once you've gone through it.
Upon reassembly, I used a small amount of silicon grease on the cover bosses so that they would slide into the grommets easily.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply.
I see its a pain in the @$$.
And its too much job to put some protection in the turn signals, although if we have an accident, it's the first thing to go.
I'll have to get another kind of protection.
