Sorry I don't have neither, I have the arrow slip on, however... IMO if there was extra power claimed... And they alway claim they do boost 2-4hp... I always think you're not really going to notice the physical diff... More of a mental thing.
Slip ons IMO are bought mainly for the looks, weight reduction or the lower rumble sound. Arrow isn't going to win any design prices... But the sound is tops. And no, can't feel their claimed extra power...

I have a Akropovic on mine. Looks really nice, not to loud. Lower , throaty tone on acceleration. The guys I ride with love the sound, when they are behind me. Great quality, stainless rivets , carbon fiber muffler clamp, titanium body, and very light weight compared to stock pipe, hope this helps
Is it louder than the stock.

Akras are very well made and usually don't get louder or need repacking. I went with a Remus this time though because I prefer the simpler, slimmer look and the quality is also very good. And it was about $350 cheaper.

Are you running with insert and how does sound compare with stock and did it affect power curve. Looks really neat.

It's pretty loud without the baffle so I'm running it in, but I've modded it to flow better but still keep the sound reasonable by cutting off the perforated section. It pulls harder than the stock can did, well worth the price. I bought it on ebay from a French seller, just search remus crf1000l

Here's a vid someone else put up.

Thanks. I did a similar thing on my KTM 690 akro. After you cut it is the sound much louder than stock.

On the AT to my ears it sounded a bit louder than uncut and less raspy. But still civilized enough to not be a neighborhood nuisance. Removing it altogether makes it loud though, even annoying with ear plugs in on the highway.

Quite frankly you can't go wrong with either option (REMUS or Akrapovic). Both are very high quality aftermarket exhaust options. Trust me, I wish I could say anything negative about Akrapovic but fact of the matter is that they make a high quality product. That being said, their products appear to be over priced at times.

What it really comes down to is personal preference as far as looks go. You will get a similar amount of weight savings as well as performance gain. Both brands are considered to provide a deeper throatier sound without being obnoxiously loud.

Contact me at [email protected] to receive special forum pricing! We have a few Slip-On units left in stock but they are going quickly. REMUS provides a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty and you will never have to re-pack the canisters. Additionally, we pride ourselves in providing a great customer service and you would have a direct contact (me) for any questions you might have;)

I hope this information helped!

Hi guys, since we are talking about exhausts, I have a question. I am thinking to go for a Remus exhaust + racing headers (no cat or baffle) + power commander or dyno/ ecu flash. So my questions are the following:
What are the legal implications in Uk and the possible warranty issues with Honda.
I have a dct, and read somewhere that you can't dyno test it. Is this true, are there any workaround?

Thanks,

Sav

Bike looks sweet. What mods have you done?
Tastes will vary, but I feel the Akra looks as if it belongs on the bike.

If I wasn't satisfied with the sound of the OEM pipe, that would be my choice. I have no desire to make the AT look like a sport bike from behind, so I'm OK with the looks of the OEM. I really don't see the point of worring about weight reduction either. The bike will still tip the scales in excess of 500lbs, so the difference will not be felt in any beneficial way. Not sure about repack requirements on the Remus; however, Akra repacks are seldom-to-never.

OTOH, Price is definitely an issue to consider.
