Repairing a broken cowling nail.
The cowling of the Africa Twin is easily broken by a slight fall. I reinforced it with ABS plastic melted with acetone. The thin nails were made by cutting off an ID card that was no longer in use.

Thin nails are not strong enough, so this process should be sufficient.

I hope that HONDA will design it to be a little less fragile.:LOL:

Good use for the old card, surprised it’s thick enough, if not a old credit card cut out and doubled up .But the end result looks good. Me, I would of been overdoing and overthinking it, designed one then cut it out of plastic on my CNC

Hi!
Indeed, as Mr.AT-Dragon pointed out, I felt a slight lack of strength, so to increase the strength,
I coated the nails with a resin composite solution and cured it with a UV light.
That's it. (y)
