Seriously? No white?

Is this true?

Only black, silver and red?

I was loving the white decal scheme and especially the retro-honda
gold anodized accents.

That was looking so cool...made me almost put a deposit down when I saw that.

Does anyone have any info on that?

I would darn near take one of the white demos that's been beat on if all I can get is red, silver or black.

To be honest...none of those are great lookers.

Where do you live? It's different for each region.
you're kidding!!!

different in every region?!?!?

somehow I think I'm gonna have bad luck here....Canada.

do you know how I can find out any more about that?
The colors you listed are the ones going to Canada. You can find the details on their website
https://motorcycle.honda.ca/model/adventure/africatwin

The good news is that if you want DCT you can have any color you like....so long as it's silver

At least you know what colors you are getting. No official word yet here in the US that I have seen.
Thanks Alba...I guess I was in denial.

I thought somehow...more info would be coming...things would be changing.

So for the Rally package...according to the website, it's another $300 worth of stickers.

Apart from that...I feel that the black anodized/powder coated rear handles,
are going to be the first to get chipped and worn, especially with soft luggage thrown over them.

Also, as a very loyal and active KTM off-road rider, I see those black wheels, and I know those are going to be destroyed soon too. All in all, poor decisions by Honda I think.

However, I am still totally obsessed with these bikes and the AT will be my first ADV bike, definitely.

Just really sad I couldn't get the white with gold wheels...it looked so great.

I will probably get a silver one, and get the fairing wrapped with something cool.

Red or Silver for the USA is what my dealer said....
Well, look on the bright side. If the AT isn't in the color you want then you won't wince as hard when scratches appear which is bound to happen when taken off road.

I'm going to be devastated if I can only get the DCT in silver as that's my least favorite of all the color options. I guess you could buy replacement fairing panels in the color you want?

Can't get my head around why Honda would only allow DCT on the silver ones in north america... maybe they think that the kinds of people who'll want DCT are also the people who'll want the least flashy color?

I was leaning towards DCT but the silver in pictures is not inspiring, Maybe it will look better in the flesh? Based on the Canadian prices ($700 difference between silver DCT and red manual) and US prices ($700 difference between DCT and manual), I know what I think we're getting.

My local dealership's website showing the DCT in both colors...

DCT colors

I admit that's not conclusive though, and they could be mistaken. I'm going to go down there on Tuesday to try to put money down for the bike... I guess I'll learn more then!
Ruh-roh! I've got a bad feeling about this now potential US DCT buyers. I was just in my local Honda dealership talking about this bike... US dealers still have been given no information at all about what colors will be offered here on the DCT. When I mentioned to him the fact that the Canadians only get it in silver, he nodded grimly and I get the sense he's worried that may be the case too.

Oh well, I'm off to look at pictures of the silver version to try to come to terms with it... :-(
Oh god... I can't do it... it's so ugly! Why are you doing this to me Honda?? :crying:

Even the black one I could have lived with, but the silver bike looks like something from the early 2000s...... and not in a good way!

I suppose looks shouldn't matter, I used to have a Suzuki V-Strom after all, but it's just so frustrating because I think the AT looks stunning in the other colors.

I guess the only upside is that I don't need to worry about getting accessories that look cool fitted. Ugly bike, may as well get ugly cheap accessories.

(also, no offense to anyone who loves the silver bike. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all... I just happen to hate it, but that's just a personal feeling)
Sooooooo,
I just emailed Honda PowerSports USA directly and asked about the color options for the USA. The RED and Silver are the versions showing up. And, they will both be availible in standard trim or DCT trim. Great news. I'll be getting the Red DCT.
Cheers, Atom...

just sad

just sad Honda.

sad.

nnngggggghhhh.
atomizer is right. I rang three local dealers. One said DCT is only available in silver. Another it's available in silver or white. And another wasted my time and basically didn't know!

So I rang Honda USA. They said "initial" deliveries of the DCT will be in silver (presumably because nobody wants it in that color!) followed by Dakar Rally (red) - hurrah!

I suspect white will also follow as a 2017 color. Anyway, silver was a deal breaker for me, so I'll be placing my order this weekend.
Sucks to be USA !!!

Still, I bet you all have nicer weather more of the time to ride in....:)

Nicer weather indeed. It still surprises me though to see some guys ride well beyond cold temps the average rider would try.
@ Davy F:

Yes, I don't miss the regular rain and grey mist of my native Blighty. Although when it does rain here, you certainly know about it!

Temps should get up to to 20C (70F in old money), this weekend, so can't complain for end of January! :-D
