Hi,

How about a thread "Show us your AT"

Today, AT owners, if they want to show us their new bikes, start individual threads which quickly get lost, under a pile of other new threads.

"Show us your AT":

- always on top,
- a couple of photographs, and perhaps
- brief info on farkles used.

I think that many would benefit, particularly since this is an international form, information about local gadgets / ideas could be spread to AT owners in other parts of the world.

After a while, it would also be easier to make conclusions regarding "best choices".

Just an idea :wink2:

How does everyone feel about marekm's suggestions?
I personally like the idea of starting a sticky thread where users are able to go to and share their rides.
I can bring this to the mods once I hear some feedback from the community.

I like both marekm and Juha's extensions of it. Many other forums that have been around a bit longer do this sort of thing as Adventurer points out. Be great to have it here too.

Do the Administrators have to go to a higher power to get this sort of thing put in place?

If we are just creating a sub-forum where users can create threads themselves, showing off their rides, the Mod and Admin team could handle it.
All of this as of now is just discussion, I am going to bring this to the Mod/Admin team.
Any more ideas?

Richard.

Picked mine up today.
Manual ABS and put a couple of hundred Km on it by lunchtime.
Here she is after 20 odd Km of gravel roads so a little dusty.
Badly corrugated road which is terrible in my ute was very comfortable except for the wheelspin happening a bit. level 2 on the TC was really good #3 way too intrusive. I was not that surprised how good it felt and was very predictable on little slides. I had a ball on it and am so happy to have replaced the "92 model. Ride safe all.

AT picked up friday morning at the dealer. Pyramid extenda fenda, adjustable wind spoiler and Loobman manual chain oiler installed.
1ste 500km made and a huge difference to my previous NC700X. Seating position much higher (my length 1.90m / 6' 3"), suspension a lot better, agile handling. Engine characteristics very similar to the NC700X, but of course much more powerful. Ample power and lots of torque. Engine unbelievably smooth and no vibrations. Runs at higher revs than the NC700X. DCT on the AT much better than on the NC700X; three S settings with gear changes at different revs. Std wind screen disappointing with much buffeting, but the adjustable wind spoiler solved it all, however ear plugs still required because of the overall wind noise and the relative loud exhaust noise.
A happy man. Still impressed how good the NC700X was, NC750X nowadays.
