Silly Question ? - Jacking AT

I am going to do some work on my AT tomorrow and will need to lift it up with a motorcycle scissor jack, is it OK to lift it under the standard aluminium 'bash' plate or do I need to remove that and use some sort of chocking to support it directly under the chassis?

Its OK to leave it on , i have done that and it was fine .
