Hi,. I need to change my sprockets and chain and at the moment it is cheaper to order a Pro-Tek kit or Renthal from the UK than buying the OEM here in Thailand. Is it worth it? Any good or other brand worth a look? I do a lot of off road so needs to handle the harder stuff. Got 11,000km out of the existing one from time of purchasing the bike.

Thanks.

Wow, 11k and needing replacement.

Renthal are very well regarded, can't comment on Pro Tek (personally I'd go with DID C and S)

Chains and sprockets have a harder time in Thailand because of everything from salt spray in the air, dusty roads, and rain/puddles that you can't escape. I wouldn't judge him. Personally - I'd go with Renthal.

On Honda bikes, I always used Honda front / JT rear, same on my CRF (JT ordered online in the UK).

11K km seems too low an interval whatever the conditions, I changed the front sprocket at 40K km and the rear one together with the chain at 48K km - and I drive my bike quite a lot off road.
