So I just bought a 2019 Africa Twin Adventure sport with 20 000km. Everything fine until i rode it and noticed that when i let off the gas and it starts engine breaking it makes a weird metallic sound (similar to loose coins in a metal bag). It disappears when I pull the clutch back in. Does anybody have any ideas what could it be? I did not have a way to record it but will try to in the next couple of days. Hoping somebody had the same issue and can give me a solution.

Hey Blagaila,
I don't know if this may help, but see if you don't have too much slack on your chain.
Also, check the condition of your chain & sprockets - especially the front.

I had some strange sounds (when rolling off the gas) on my 2019 Africa Twin. Replaced the chain & sprockets & the strange sounds were gone...

(Just an idea)

Thought it would be that but chain tension is ok. Also the sound can be heard more or less on both sides of the engine. While riding I was not able to pin point it to an exact place. Why would it stop making noise if I pull the clutch it?
