New to me 2021 Manual AT, can't get this pos seat off no matter what I try. I was able to get it off once however that was purely by chance and I forgot how it came off. I can hear the latch clicking again the lock when I turn the key, I can audibly feel the latch releasing but I think it's still catching onto something. I've been trying to get the m*** off the whole day yesterday but it won't budge.

I saw someone on this forum take off the "S" trim next to the gas tank? But how can I reach the latch from there? Can't I take off the side trim next to the rear seat and manually reach the latch from there?

Make sure your front seat is seated. Insert key (seat lock) turn key clockwise while pulling forward on rear seat then lift it up. It can be tricky at first, but you'll get it. Page 253 in your Owners Manual.
Also I noticed the front of your rear seat looks like it's not seated? Again, insert key turning clockwise (and push down on front of rear seat) then push forward on back of rear seat while lifting it at same time. It will come off......

yep follow this and it will work. It is the hardest seat I have ever had to remove.

The seat can be a bit temperamental, especially if something thick is pushing it up (I took the toolkit out the side and threw it in there on my other AT, mistake). You kinda just gotta punch it from the back while pushing down, and then yank it up on the front. If your front seat isn't properly aligned and you punched the rear seat in things get even worse.

Considering your latch is assumedly still engaging you won't be digging through half the bike like I did.
