Question, I have a 22 ATAS. Recently the suspension warning indicator light will come on after riding for a few miles. I have stopped and turned the bike off and back on again but the warning light will come on again after a few minutes. Is this a quick and easy fix?
Ok, just found it in the manual, looks like it may be dealer time unless you find any loose connections or damaged wires on the control unit or to the suspension.
I believe that warning light is a symptom of the computer looking for a specific resistance, around 35 ohms, on position sensors for the front suspension, maybe rear, as well.
Loose connection to either would make it come on.
I pulled the ES components from mine, then turned off the "Electronic Suspension" under installed equipment, but still have the light. Mean to short both connectors with a 35 ohm resistor, to see if it goes away, but for now, a sticker over the light has been fine.
Since you probably want to keep using your ES, you might start with the connectors... maybe next step would be the health of the position sensors.
