Anybody fitted the new touratech tank bag?
still waiting on it... seems too be a major wait on touratech stuff for this bike for some reason
What are your reasons for choosing TT, Honda are meant to be producing some, I believe. IMO TT gear is v expensive, late on delivery, poor on service, ie no comms and is not always constructed to the quality they bum it up to be. In my experience.

No reason yet for choosing TT, I had a givi bag for my Crosstourer which I couldn't fault. Got until July before I need one
My local TT guys had the small version of the bag, I did a spot fit and it fits well. The scratch proof area fits nicely. And it doesn't interfere with the seat.
I didn't buy it because it was too small. Waiting for the large one which hopefully will be next week.
TT started shipping "some" stuff to dealers to display etc. and the guys I'm dealing with are trying really hard to get me my order of bars and rear plate. So much so that they will be giving me their shop unit to use as I need them for a tour next week. They only have one more set of everything to arrive the week after.

Also, on that note - I have installed the TT side stand base extension. I must say, very disappointed, the mounting was bent and the bracket became loose after only a week. Took it back to them and they said it'll be replaced and he reported it to TT on the phone right away saying bad quality issue. Hopefully the second set will be better.
Thanks for the warning on the side stand extension - I was just about to get one. Or rather, as it's TT, I was about to order and then wait.

I live down a gravelled road and occasionally park up rather than drive straight in to the garage - there's occasionally a slight heart in the mouth moment when the side stand disappears down a bit. Extensions have always helped - as have those plastic plates that keep getting lost.

I installed my old Touratech tank bag with the new Africa Twin attachment.

I think this version is bigger but it's ok on-road and off-road

I'm going to fit my Givi 307 with a quick release ive gone down dealers and put it on there as my bike is due in next week as I understand Givi has not bought one out for the AT BUT the petrol cap is the same as the CB500 & crosstourer so feeling confident that one of them will fit

Out of interest, what kind of auxiliary lights are they?

The Crosstourer petrol cap was bigger on my 2013 model

Touratech was willing to sell you the AT attachment only? How did you proceed with buying it?
The offered me the attachment ;-) I'm an old customer and spend to much money there.
My experience is the same. TT shop here goes out of their way to get me on the road. Spare parts no charge, test parts, advice, calling main TT office every second day to chase parts for me. Always good to deal with them. It's the main reason why I've held out on ordering from any other shops, unless TT 100% can not get stock.
anybody using the small touratech specific tank bag for Africa twin..cant find any pics of it mounted to a bike all pics are the larger tank bag

Its called the Ambato pure..9litres on size

You guys are lucky that you can do business with good TT shops. I used to be able to buy directly from Germany and they were great to deal with. Then they opened a TT Japan and forced customers in Japan there to buy from it even though the small shop never carries much stock — meaning a ridiculous wait — and is way overpriced compared to the German prices. :(

Can't buy online? Even eBay some times have TT gear.
I used live in Hong Mong, and used to buy all my music gear (item unrelated I know but works the same) from online store even when they have a dealer in HK, because online is always much faster and most times, cheaper.

This does not work with TT. They recognize the country you're in and will direct you to their reseller.
I always have been a great fan for their products and service, but now...
I don't think they will ever sell one more item to me.

I'm also waiting for one. And Touratech isn't communicating very well either.
The givi tankring is different than the crosstourer one but i just bought a tankring and re-used my givi tankbag from my crosstourer
