No such problems here in the UK , maybe they just don't like you :D
As mentioned before the USA seems to be having issues with all sorts of items being hard to get, no idea why.
I'm ready for a Euro vacation, Robin. 🤪
Is inventory still affected by the recent recall?

I just read about TKC 80 recall. Interesting..... Could be effecting the TKC 70 also? Thx for heads up.

Possibly. I don't think directly as I don't believe that the TKC-70 was a part of the recall. But maybe indirectly if people are opting for that as a replacement tire?

Scorpion Rally STR 50/50? Perhaps the regular Scorpion Rally? The STR is a more STReet focused version of the Rally and really more in the 80/20 +/- range. The Rally is definitely more of a 50/50 tire.
Yeah, but more 70/30 IMHO. For sure better than the original bridgestone ;)

The regular Rally are 50/50 but I've never tried them. I think I'll go with the str version.

Agreed. That's why I put 80/20 +/-, because those ratings are always a bit subjective. I know when Kyle Bradshaw did that big ADV Tire Shootout, he put it in the 80/20 category
But he only had 2 categories, 80/20 and 50/50.

But surprisingly in that shootout, the STR did lose out to the Anakee Adventure in most categories (price being a last place finish for the Anakee and it was edged out in twisties), and I would call the Adventure an 80/20. So who knows [emoji1787]

I've not tried the E 07+. 'Sides, anything with a '+' is better, right?

As I admitted earlier, I'm hard on the loud handle and few would consider me gentle. Fifty+ (there's that better symbol, again) years of off-road, thirty+ racing built some bad habits, I guess.
Thems the costs of being a hoon!

Yes, definitely, STR is for STReet. I commission a pair of Scorpion Rally STR this morning, I can't stand any more the loud noise of the Karoo Street.

By all accounts, they are awesome tires. The only knock i have heard a boutique them is that they wear a little fast, but that comes with a tire that grips like that.

I was going to order a set of those myself, put the parts guy at the dealership confused me. I was in there on Saturday, April 29th and tried to order them and he tells me "I can get the front in about a week, but I won't be able to get the rear in until sometime next month." So I thought since the front wouldn't be in until like mid-May, that he meant June for the rear. So I switched gears and ordered the Anakee Adventures. Then, talking to him more after I completed the purchase, I found out he meant May for both. Whatever. I haven't tried out the Anakee Adventure yet either, so I will see how they are :)

My Anakee Adventure rear seamed to be short lived for the money. Good tire grip wise. Howls when not running in a straight line but goes away as it wears. Just bought a mission to try after the e07 I just spooned on

This new tire from.Mitas looks interesting. Hopefully we will start seeing more sizes soon...

How long does a 705 last on the AT. Had them on the klr back in the day, good for 5000.
I ran 705's on my '17 AT and on my '21 I have now. No complaints, especially at the price! 10,000+ miles on the rear normally, 16-18K on the front.
Work fine on road, and good enough off for my use, gravel and fire roads, too old for slimey mud or deep sand now.

I have 12k plus miles on my front Michelin Anakee Adventure tire. (2020 ATAS ES DCT). It is now feathering off on the trailing edge of the tread blocks. More feathering on the left of center side. I’ve been running 34 lbs of air. The tire has been great on the road, on dry, wet or raining road surface, and not so stable on gravel. It tends to slide in 1/2 - 1 inch of sand in the slightest of turns. The first rear was taken out by a nail that went through the tread at an angle. I believe I got that nail while leaning in a turn. The tire did not puncture. I have Safe-Guard and they paid to have it replaced. That rear had 5100 miles on it. The second rear now has 7,000 and it is about 1/16 inch from the tread ware indicators on the left side of the tire. I’m thinking of going with the Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires.

Don't really do any off road, farm tracks is about the most we can find around here but I put on a TKC70 front and a TKC70 Rocks rear and I am delighted with them. They track well on dust and gravel and the grip on road I find unbelievable, have to keep my feet tucked in on the bends at times or I will wear away the sides of my boots :D That is wet or dry.
You still hooked on these?
I just posted a new thread about a 2 part trip. Mainly road for the first part, and any off road will likely be unpaved tracks and trails, no single track rock hopping. I like the sound of them being safe in wet and dry, that's my #1. Good (and maybe quiet, on highway and decent on dust and gravel sounds great.

Also, if you could help e understand the reason for only using the Rocks on the rear, that would be great too. And ... what mileage have you got?

I love them, on the second Rocks rear and I think I will probably go with another when the time comes.
Downside is the mileage, 4-5000 miles is the life of the rear. The front TKC 70 is holding up well and although I haven't studied it recently it will definitely get the 8-10K miles and likely more, maybe even last as long as 3 Rocks rears.
For a longer lasting rear the standard TKC70 is probably a better option, won't be quite as good on gravel etc as it has a centre band but it is reportedly slightly better in the wet than the TKC70 Rocks.
