Just curious after watching the video from TheCrumble on a AT's top speed. I think I saw 187 kph (about 115mph) but will they go any faster?

Pushed yesterday at 180Km/h and there was more to come.

Speed readings between tripmaster and AT speedometer have a difference of 10 Km/h

140 Km/h AT > 130 Km/h TripMaster

Anyway, bike is very fast, i saw in some videos 208 Km/h but really, when do you need to go faster than 140/150? Probably never :)

Ive seen 120mph on the clocks, 2 up (95kg plus 85kg) plus luggage (20kg ish) probably with a small bit more to come.
I found these interesting test specs in BIKE, a UK publication. Seems the speedo is way off on the AT.

Hopefully a speedo healer can be added without messing with the DCT to make the speedo spot on.

Top speed is no issue on a dirt-bike, isn't it? I've done 169 km/h on my Zumo (bikes said 174 I believe) and the engine had still punchy power then....

No. Speado Healer is really usefull on every (Japanese) bike. Had one on my XT1200Z, easy to fit and really cheap! Worked perfect !
Found the pic attached.

the last four rows:

(i can see that difference with the tripmaster that is much more accurate)
AT speedo is 10% out. It reads too low. Checked it via sat nav and other bikes. Not really a problem but bloody annoying when trying to watch speed limits.
I think I might be alone in not caring at all what the top speed is! As long as it'll do 80-90mph two-up with luggage I'm happy.

Not alone at all. I am not remotely interested in wringing the neck off my AT to find out what I will otherwise never do on it.

That is a phase I have been through and by now, long left behind. Right now it does exactly what I need of it. :smile2:

The AT is not a pure dirt bike. In the hands of 99% of riders it is a road bike that can tackle light trails, and as such is (for me) brilliant. I have seen 120mph on the speedo with more to come biut that is irrelevent. I come from a sportbike, sport tourer background and I don't think I have exited a corner quicker than I have on the AT. The real life driveability of the bike is superb.
Hi there,

from Harley to AT. For me nice combination. Question is how to stop not the max speed. After all AT is more for off road not for speed records ;) :) But if you want than let your soul fly on AT as fast she can do it ;) :)
True, it's not a real dirt bike of course. But is off-road orientated. Much more than a multistrada, an explorer, a GS Adventure. I didn't buy it for it's top speed. I experienced even some tension to wobble at speeds over 180 km/h. One reason more not to look for it's speed limits...
It's a great bike !!!
I've put 134mph on the clock, tubes be damned. Rock solid the whole way. Ain't skeered!
185 kph (115-ish mph) on 50/50 tyres with tubes...at which point the rider chickened out because it started to go light and squirmy. All this took place on a private road of course.

Last week following a buddy and passing some cars and bikes in line my Zumo showed 118 mph. Maybe could have gone faster but I was not trying to go flat out, just pass.
Anyone tried this:

See, told you the red ones go faster!

Yep I've had 134 mph on the clock with panniers on travelling down the German autobahn on our way to Czech Republic and the road races at Horice (man is the racing scary but at 40p a pint and £4 for a meal what's not to enjoy) rock steady as well just a little weave when we passed lorry's or cars passed us , you could hear the engine was nearing its limit . but I don't do this very often as I usually tour about 70/80 and chill out at a relaxing speed for the bike and me. the tubes wont make a bit of difference to stability or safety . its under warranty and built to go that quick or it would be restricted.
