Has anyone seen a Touring / Comfort seat offered as an accessory yet?
I've just read the 'BIKE' (UK Magazine) review of the AT vs GS. The AT gets a stellar write up but in a sub section to the article the pillion comfort is heavily criticized. I do a lot of two up riding and wanted to preempt the complaints by fitting a better pillion perch.

Has anyone with the bike done any two-up riding yet? I'd be interested to hear some other opinions.

Best seats in the world ever are Russell Day Long. They don't look cool at all, but if you don't care about that then they are miracle seats! I've done 800 miles plus on them without the slightest discomfort. I'll definitely be getting one for the AT.

I believe they ship to the UK too.

Preempt complaints - can't remember the last time I managed that!

Seriously though - I'm sure one of the other UK owners has gone two-up and said his other half thought it was as comfortable as his previous 1200GS - unless I'm imagining it.

The stock seats are actually quite good.
My better half is an active, fitness freak, so no heavy weight by any means, but she has commented that the rear grab rails are quite narrow and raised slightly above the pillions seat pad.

I spoke to Corbin Saddles months ago and they said they can't wait to get their hands on an AT to produce a touring seat for it.

I agree with anotherbiker, that over the years I've read the most satisfied reports from Iron Butt Rally type folk, when using the Russell Daylong - but like he said, they're pretty ugly.

Corbin have a good reputation for comfort, beyond the initial 1,000 mile or so run in period. They're also fairly priced and generally always look very nice, depending on the custom options available to choose.

Regularly check out the 'New Stuff' link on their web site to see when it will be available - and compare one's already available for the Multistrada, and GS's - it'll help set expectation levels.
