How does the computer obtain its reference speed between the two wheels.
Is it a mapped (expected) speed from both wheels ?
Or, is it a measured speed on the road from each wheel ?

To explain....
If I fitted a smaller rear tire, the resultant speed difference measured at the wheels would show the rear rotating faster than the front..... So, would the traction control kick in ?
If I fitted an 18 inch front wheel, would the traction control NOT work at all ?

Cheers, :nerd:

My understanding is that the system uses the ABS sensors and measures the change in rotation speed more than the speed itself. This will allow tire size to not be an issue. DCT models have different limitations due to the programming of the transmission coming into play.

Thanks Rob, you are correct but I don't see what dct has to do with TC operation.
