Hi All
I've a question for anyone ordering in the UK
I missed the initial boat to order a bike at the launch a couple of weeks back, which at the time, the dealer said would arrive Mid Feb.
However, having re-enquired now I've made my mind up, I'm just hearing 'there's a waiting list' for them, and no idea of delivery timing
I'm after a manual red bike
Has anyone in the UK had a confirmed delivery date for a manual bike (I believe the DCT bikes are few weeks behind?), and does anyone know how long the waiting list is ?
Cheers in advance for your help

Hello, I just joined the forum.

I received my bike in January (Tricolour manual) and am extremely happy.

I was told the initial order from Honda UK to Japan was for 330 bikes, which were all pre-ordered/sold pretty quickly. The next order was placed for 800 bikes, of which over 300 are now sold.

Next delivery from Japan is apparently March, and DCT bikes will be April'ish

My dealer experience was brilliant from the moment I placed my order to the day they delivered it (a day earlier than promised) so I would certainly recommend anyone considering placing an order contact Ray at P&H motorcycles in Crawley, Sussex, if you're not getting anywhere with your own dealer.

Cheers
Bob

I'd be very interested to hear why you prefer the AT to the Tiger ( road or XC?).
What do you feel the AT does better or did you just fancy a change?
I bought the tiger (2013 model) just really to see if I liked an adventure bike as I already have a sports bike in my garage
It's getting on a bit now, so I thought I'd try either a new explorer or the AT. I took an extended afternoon test ride on both (and a new tiger too at the same time) and the AT ticked all the boxes for me
The Tiger's a good bike, but I found the AT much more comfortable, and it's road handling is a step up from both the triumphs. Plus, in the limited expososure I had testing off road, the AT was a lot easier to control, and just felt more nimble
Saying that, most of the riding I'll be doing on it will be on the road
The only real downside for the AT over the explorer is its relative lack of power, but I'll have to keep reminding myself not to try and ride it like my Ducati 899, and the AT feels quicker than the Tiger despite the comparable power figures

I've had my triumph tiger 1200 xc for 3 years and love it but have decided to go for an AT because I would like to do a bit more off road adventures in my old age (55) and find the triumph a bit too heavy and cumbersome saying that I love the power of the triumph so that's why I'm going to keep it in the garage as well for a while :) having had 2 test rides on the DCT it's the best of both worlds auto and paddle shift....happy days:) besides you don't need 150bhp of road well I certainly don't...
I've just changed my mind on the colour too from tri-colour to black to be a bit different.....!!
Popped into dealer today and he said he had a cancelled order in black with DCT :) pick up March 1st :)
Oh yeah :)

That's a result on the cancelled order
I fancied red as although I like the white, I fancied something different and wasn't over keen on the gold wheels (although I'm aware many love that)
Early March for me

I didn't like the gold rims initially - but when you see the tricolour out in the sun - not in artificial light - it all really works for me.

I think the black you've bought is in MK isn't it? I think I chatted to you after my test ride the other day. I was sorely tempted by the black too - but saw the tricolour!

To be honest they are all tasty!
