Igor Akrapovič founded his company in 1991 recognizing the gap in the market and planning to fill the niche for high-quality motorcycle exhaust systems that can improve the bike’s performance, its looks and the way the exhaust sounds. Using his extensive experience in motorcycle racing, Igor helps his engineers and designers to create outstanding exhausts for many motorsports teams and even Formula 1 vehicles.

In 2009, Akrapovic has launched the in-house titanium foundry, which allows the company to create incredibly strong and lightweight proprietary alloys. The company's specialists mastered unique fabrication techniques to produces fine-crafted titanium and carbon fiber slip-on mufflers and complete exhaust systems for different types of motorcycles. If you want to excel at the track, browse the collection of Akrapovic slip-on mufflers at MOTORCYCLEiD.com and upgrade your bike with such a great product. HP and true increases are mostly subjective BS.
I don't need more noise -- "...Race Only product that is to be used solely for competition. It cannot be used on vehicles that are operated on public streets, roads or highways. Its use is limited to closed-course and open-course racing..." tells me all I need to know about how loud it is.
Give me an Akrapovic that is close to stock loudness and I'll be all over it.

This Akrapovic muffler has a 96.7 dB noise level at 3750 RPM, which is 3.7 dB louder than the stock one.
Hear the difference:

Hey, it's only 3.7dB, can't be that much more ... BUT dB is a logarithmic scale.
Every 3dB increase represents a DOUBLING of sound energy.
So your 3.7db increase means more than TWICE the sound energy.
Sorry, not my cup of tea.

Yes, but subjectively perceived loudness, in this case, increases about 1.3 times.
Oh dear....the modern biker seems to be more in touch with their feminine side these days. How sad, never mind.

What's the you said? Hold on, let me put my hearing aids in - hearing damaged from work and motorcycle noise back in my youth you know.
Hey, good you think of me as a modern biker that cares about how bikers are perceived by society - you know the loud road pipes with bikes smelling of raw gas and riding area closures caused by jerks with loud pipes.
Been riding for 50-years and at 66 I'm looking forward to the next bike when I'm done with the AT.
Feminine side LOL - how sad you equate making noise with masculinity. Go back to your cave.
