HI.

Had an e-mail regards this item for your info.

ITEM 4703 – FAT FOOT
HONDA CRF1000 – AFRICA TWIN

We have just discovered a possible quality issue with our Fat Foot for the Honda CRF1000 Africa Twin. When the fat foot is attached and the sidestand is in the up position, the Fat Foot may, when the bike is under heavy compression, touch the swing arm, which could lead to the finish being scratched.

If you have already fitted your Fat Foot, please remove it immediately and dispose of it. If you have not fitted it yet, please do not do so. You do NOT have to return them to us.

As soon as we have made a modification to ensure the Fat Foot cannot touch the swingarm at any time, we will send a replacement to you.

Alternatively, if you would prefer, let me know and I can issue a full refund to you.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. It is extremely unlikely that this will happen with your Fat Foot, but we would hate for your bike to be damaged in any way due to one of our products.

Cant say fairer than that! This is how customer service should be well done!

PS can you send me free one for the pr lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good onya RR

Tried to order one of these last night and the website said 'not available'.....now i know why?!
Yup - sorry to say we've taken them out of the shop and have asked every customer that has ordered one to remove it immediately and dispose of it..

The issue is that one of our customers has had his Fat Foot connect with the swingarm.

This has been a bit of a shock for us as we tested the Fat Foot on 3 different Africa Twins, both with suspension at full compression and full extension - with no issues.

Now it could be down to fitting it wrong, or some other fluke mishap - but it's happened - and for us this is not acceptable!

So we're re-designing the Fat Foot and getting a new batch pushed through within the next couple of weeks - and sending out the new version to all existing customers - after which it will be available on the website.

Thanks for taking it seriously. Now if you could just take over Honda and replace our wheels/spokes that would be great!

But seriously - great attitude and my commiserations on encountering such an issue.
Well done that man

Fat Foot seems to be on sale again at the site. Hopefully Jonathan will confirm orders are being taken again.
rugged roads fat foot doesn't look like it even covers the full foot at the bottom which should keep it further away from swingarm...wonder how it managed too touch..
touratech one seems bigger
