We'll see...

I've been waiting on rumours for several years and today I put myself on the list down at the dealers. We'll wait and see what comes of it.

Lots of bikes and more than a few miles in the saddle. Looking to replace my R1200GSA. Last Honda was a ST1300, great bike for long distance but had no soul. Reliable, and thats what got me looking at the AT.

I'm with you on reliable. I have been eyeing the KTM for years but the maintenance and reliability keep me away. I think the AT is just what I have been waiting for.

Its true, theres a few guys on ADV Rider that keep calling it a heavier KTM 990 with less power....forgetting its about 200 times more reliable... or at least you fear reliability issues less...
I was so disappointed with the response on the big forum that I have just stayed away. This is a much happier place to hang out. Hopefully more folks will show up. It will be a much better bike than the 990 in my opinion.
Unfortunately most of the people on that thread want KTM performance, BWM gadgets, Honda reliability and Suzuki pricing all on the same bike.

You can't have it all. I'm just happy when I can get tires in the middle of a trip.

yea what's the old saying... pick two of three, light, strong or cheap

and the problems over there are unreal. No centre stand, I'm out!!!
It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the aftermarket to catch up. If Honda doesn't offer a centre stand, someone will soon enough. The few photo's I've seen of any luggage haven't been that impressive, but it will come around.

I think we see aftermarket in on it almost immediately. The segment is affluent and the bike is hot. Plus its a Honda...
Someone will most likely create a DIY center stand first and post it online before an aftermarket model comes out.
Hey, I finally made 'Member' status! When do I get the secret handshake instructions or decoder ring?

You will be met by a man in a yellow hat holding a duffle bag of wonder bread, he has your key to the castle.
It's an option ;-)
I'm surprised they even offered up a rear fender, wasn't all that made optionally available on the CB500X? (or one of those guys)
Same here. Followed for a while early on, but unsubscribed.

I am really sure I will like the AT. No test ride needed. Just buy, and ride it.
