Airbags are not reliable, especially the "TAKATA" brandAre we at the stage where they develop IMU lean/gyro enabled side crash airbags for these 20k motorcycles. Tip over no problem, airbags prevented any damage.
Inflatable side crash bars made of the stuff they make zodiac's out of with an onboard compressor, they just stay in a compact case and you open it and inflate for off-roading. Includes deflating feature. Think of those crash bar bags that kinda fit in-between, but could deploy tough inflatable crash pillows for difficult sections where you expect to probably drop the bike.Airbags are not reliable, especially the "TAKATA" brand
protection is everything...but maybe bigger casters for gravel?

That's the spirit!
All the texters, might not be out of the realm of possibilities.
So is this just a stretch-over for the stock seat? Willy's curious.Fitted a Cool Covers seat cover. Not needing it for the cooling effect as it never gets that hot here but I am hoping that it makes things a bit more comfortable. After a couple of hours I usually start getting a sore backside and some people say they work well to stop that while others say they don't, I will find out at the weekend hopefully.
It is sitting a bit proud in the middle section but reportedly they stretch and sit flush, we will see but it does go flat when my fat erse is on it

FYI, I had a similar KS arrangement for Ol' Red. I eventually dumped it and went to a Camel ADV stand (much stronger than OEM) because the continual working of the shoe made it loose and unreliable with a lot of off road travel though that took a couple of years. YMMV.Added a (generic Aliexpress variety) kickstand extender. Also installed an Oxford charger socket behind the toolbox with a 15A fuse to run an electric pump.

Sorry this reply is a little late, but I have ruined an iPhone camera because of a RAM mount like that. Too much vibration. After a while after riding my AT using that mount, I noticed that my camera on the iPhone would not focus. When I would go to take a photo, the camera would 'BUZZ' when it was trying to focus. It would never focus. Finally after searching the internet, I found other users that were having the same problems with their iPhone cameras. In the end, I ended up ordering a new replacement camera from iFixit.com, for the iPhone, and also ordering a new phone mount from Quadlock.com something like this... I haven't had any problem since using the Quadlock mount on my African Twin....They work well. And you'll have a spare key!

Yes, just stretches over and secured by velcro straps underneath., didn't help me much for the purpose I bought it for so sold it on.So is this just a stretch-over for the stock seat? Willy's curious.
Good to know. I have seen those suggested on forums from time to time.Yes, just stretches over and secured by velcro straps underneath., didn't help me much for the purpose I bought it for so sold it on.
They definitely do keep you cool but here in Scotland that is not required and actually a disadvantageGood to know. I have seen those suggested on forums from time to time.

I had read some mixed reviews about whether they added any comfort to the seat. I have also read mixed reviews on whether or not they helped channel away water in the rain. I am guessing rain is a bigger issue in Scotland than extreme heat. Do even help with rain that much? Or are they really just good at living up to their namesake and keeping the seat cool? They definitely do keep you cool but here in Scotland that is not required and actually a disadvantageI had bought it hoping it would make the low seat a bit more comfortable as a lot of reports had said they aid comfort. It did but only fractionally and it added a slight bit of height so I was just as well using the standard seat which was probably about the same comfort wise.
