Share what you did today with the Africa Twin community!

Example: Met up with the Africa Twin group and went on a ride with the boys!

Example: Finally received the heated grips in the mail. I will be installing them tomorow, stay tuned for pictures.

Example: Took her out to play in the dirt for the first time...

Anything goes.... :grin2:

Just came back from a short ride, lots of smoke lingering around Alberta for the last couple of days, this year forest fires are early  ... but beautiful nevertheless :)

Looks great @Dado.

We've been getting that Alberta smoke down in southern Ontario for the past two weeks for so. That is a long trip.

Zip ties are necessary on todays modern HONDA Africa Twins... they actually hold the bike together :ROFLMAO:
Mine especially... I bought a Honda for reliability, and only after a couple of months i'm looking for trading it in and buy something different.

I installed it per Honda's very specific instructions. I'm sure it would probably be fine otherwise but they had some issues with the first version with the wiring becoming damaged from vibration where it enters the shifter. They have changed its construction somewhat and I think it'd be good without it but I'm sure it's a precaution. The loop doesn't allow it to move as much where the wiring enters the shifter. They even give you a rubber sleeve to put around the cable to zip tie over. Who knows. The instructions actually have measurements that they list for each cable fastener along the way. It's a little overthought but oh well... It works.
I know that, I was curious because mine was installed by the dealer and there's no zip tie or cable sleeve in that position. Nevermind, there are 6 warranty years and I'm going to change the bike way sooner.

Got a bath!
Hope you didn't use the "public car wash foaming brush" they are usually full of sand and dirt and they will ruin the windscreen and body parts paint.

...while waiting in the car wash, I've seen people using foaming brush to wash pickup truck box and inside wheel wells  and then the next person scrubbing a brand new car.

Fitted some new tires and after a couple of hundred miles the tires are starting to feel pretty good
Fitted some continental TCK rocks all ready for the ABR festival
but just putting it out there
Nearly a year in ownership and now just starting to understand all the modes the AT has to offer
This bike is a hoot to ride
I commute every day and still need to go out
And do some miles
Love all the tech the bike has
Honda AT DCT adv sport is in my humble opinion
a very good motorcycle

Yesterday I fitted a roller door to the garage to make my life easier and today I wired up the NT1100/X-ADV 750 parking brake warning light.
