Simple reason. The front flicks debris up and the rear runs over it. Same for cars and trucks.

 

I agree that is the main reason. I do wonder if the driving force of the rear wheel, rather than the passive front and greater surface area of the rear also play a role.

With cars and trucks, all of my flats have been almost exclusively on front tires. I can think of only 1 flat I have had on a rear tire.

 

Next tire change im going with the outex, rear only.

 

On my AT , since 3 yrs and 30k kms, had two flats and both front... its weired i know.. but that's what it is

 

Never had a front flat till you posted up this poll! Went riding Sunday and flat on front when I was almost home, pumped it up and made it home but thanks!!!!
