Hey everyone, just installed barkbusters handguard (not self installed). I realised the handguards is not that aligned. Is it normal? one side looks straight, another one looks abit downwards.

Just fitted them on my 25, they are useless and horrible to fit, the cables etc are all in the way and i warn you check for them pinching or hitting the top of the tank on full lock
I've had them on my 2016 for 8 years and seeing all the recent hate I guess I got them when they were good? Honestly misalignments typically mean poor installation and if the installer can't fix it they reach out to the manufacturer to ask if the tolerances are correct on the batch. Mine have held up fine and are far superior to factory by design.
My dirt bikes always looked like the OP’s bike. It was because I had my clutch lever angled towards the ground. If your clutch lever is parallel to the ground the bark busters will line up perfectly but for me, the clutch angle was more important,
Make sure the part numbers are for second generation. First gen on 2020 through 2022 had interference issue. Barkbusters fixed that on the newer versions starting about a year ago.
I went with MachineArt moto ADVance guards and love them and even though they are all plastic they are very strong and have survived 3 or 4 drops with only scratches.
The good thing about them is you have different options for different weather.
Some pics here.
Easy to adjust with loosening the screws and rotating… BUT, I noticed your left guard is a little low (like mine). I had to adjust it this way on purpose on my ‘24 ATAS DCT… Read On-
If you have a DCT, your parking break hand lever on the left handlebar may hit the Barkbusters metal arm and depress the parking break slightly causing the P. brake light to light on the dash. I had to rotate my Barkbusters guard down slightly on the left side, to clear above the medal arm where the plastic guard gives it a little more space to release.
Had no big problem with mine on a ATAS DCT 2019. Alignment is fine with stock setup. Didn't move any console or lever. Only thing I had to watch was on the right side not to pinch the cables. Also the screws for the clamps are not that durable. Almost stripped the head of the first screw, after that I learned to be more gentle with it.
Mine are from a local store specialized in all-road motorcycles. Bought them end of November 2024. Just checked the website. The CRF1000 model is in stock. Those for CRF1100 are also on backorder here.
I’ve been using bark busters for many years across many bikes. They might have been installed a little off or indeed a knock could move them. Push by hand and if there’s no play just loosen the bolts that join to the bike and set. Handy job.
I live in Ireland so use the storm plastic on them for better wind protection.
