Yes it’s another auxiliary light thread but bear with me and be gentle. after lots of searching I’m still looking for the answer.
So I’ve realised I am far to tight to buy a full Denali light set with plug and play loom and data dim. I’ve had cheap sets of led aux lights on other bikes for years with no problems (under £20 a pair type).
What I’m thinking is to have a set of spots permanently wired in via the aux connector at the front, then to have a seperate set of floods that come on when high beam is used.
I know the spots will be fine to wire in via the aux connector. But is wiring in the floods on the same circuit and connector asking too much? I know I will have to splice into the high beam wire seperatly. And I’m not worried about using a fog switch as I want the spots permanently on.
the spots will be a pair of 10w LEDs. And the floods will be a pair of 18w LEDs. Other than charging my phone whilst riding via the standard socket on the bike I don’t need to run anything else now or in the future.
the bike is a 2018 adventure sports.
