I rode at an extremely relaxed pace in D mode over the weekend sightseeing with my father on his new CB500x and was shocked at the MPG on this ATAS. 58.3 (US), 4.03 l/100km, 70.01 MPG (UK) 309 miles or 497km, and the low fuel light had just come on. I'm impressed. This was using non-ethanol 87 so a bit of a boost from that.

Just finished 650 miles in 2 days on mostly 55-60 mph two lane with my 2022 dct in s2 mode, aluminum panniers loaded and a small tailback. Avg fuel mileage was 59 mpg using 87 octane with ethanol. Seem outstanding for such a capable machine.

Below about 70mph the AT gets phenomenal fuel efficiency.

Last week I took a trip from Salinas, CA to Topaz lake, NV and spent the next 5 days crossing back and forth across the Sierra Nevada mountains. I rode right at 1200 miles. Going over the mountain passes with full bags I was getting 50-53 mpg. Riding on highways without many hills at a higher speed around 55-65mph I was getting around 46-48mpg. As soon as I was on my way home and left the mountains and was riding freeway at about 75mph and burning California fuel my mileage dropped to about 36-38 mpg. It seems my mileage improved on Nevada fuel which is understandable but I also was not riding at higher freeway speeds.

I think your calculations are out a bit, 4.4l/100km is about 54Mmpg US and 64mpg UK. Still pretty good though

Indeed, forgot to convert to miles (86.2 km/US gallon) . I'm totally lost with the Imperial units.

If only Pirates didn’t steal that KG in 1700’s we’d probably all be using Metric.
