Its a good little unit.

I just fitted mine

Note also that Maxca are not a manufacturer, they (as well as several others) just flash their logo on it.
I did a lot of searching and never found the real manufacturer.

Splash screen can be customised also :)

Note for any Android users, if using the twin bluetooth (to pair to a bluetooth headset etc) calling doesnt work, everything else does and i dont think there is a real workaround. Not an issue for Apple users

Also, i found the fitting not very AT-friendly.
The cable between the cradle and buck is about 2ft long, and there is nowhere nice to hide all that cable plus the the buck behind the instrument cluster, so i made a modificaion and moved the buck inside the housing. Now i can run 12v from the accessory line straight into the cradle

Unfortunately maxca only provide the FW update to their own buyers through their own website (people paying $300 instead of $150ish through AliExpress)
They aren't actually the manufacturer, just a private label so the FW is available elsewhere.
I've been trying to get it from the actual hardware manufacturer but no luck so far.
It doesn't seem like the latest version has any improvements over the standard one, aside some small interface improvements so no real benefit yet

I now have the 'Pro' version as well, the same hardware with a new interface.
Bluetooth calling through Android Auto is working properly when paired with a Bluetooth headset, however the same issue remains that the Maxca device is constantly transmitting to the headset, not just in the event of sounds being played. That means the headset battery doesn't last very long and wont work as a rider-rider intercom since the Bluetooth is holding the connection permanently.
