Considering the OM symmetrical pannier rack on my ‘21 ATAS. Does anyone that has the racks consider them to be too wide? Know of any other manufacturers that make symmetrical racks? Thanks. I have the OM crash protection bars and really appreciate how well they are made and fitted (even though the installation guide really sucks badly).

Those are the ones I bought, I think they are fine. I used the tusk pilot pannier bags and they sit even. The nice thing about having the left rack farther out, it gives you room for other things. A 1 gal roto pax or a tool box. Many other options there.

A quick measure and it looks like there is about 4 1/2-5 inches of clearance.
This looks to be enough clearance to fit a 2 gal rotopax fuel can or tool box. I am thinking I want the tool box, as a first aid kit should fit in there too. Leaves the panniers for everything else.

Plus 1 regarding room for a toolbox. I have the Bumot Defender Evo panniers and rack. I added the toolbox that was keyed to my panniers and love it! Stuffed with the basics, with/on the bike at all times, and out of the way not taking up valuable space in the boxes/bags.
