Hi all.
I picked my ATAS up a couple of days ago, and I have a query I am hoping you knowledgeable people will be able to clear up for me.
With regards to the power display, it shows 4 sections, Some grey, and some blue. Now the Honda dealership I purchased it from told me that when there is more blue sections lit up, then there is more power, so 4 blue sections means full power, and less blue sections means less power. Now I have gone against all man rules, and read the instruction manual with the bike, and it states that full power is 1, and least power is 4!! So does this mean that if I have 1 blue section, I am on full power or, as the dealer stated, I am on least power? Feeling a tad confused at the moment. In my head, to look at the power info, I’d have thought that full power is full blue. Just seems a bit backward that full power would be less blue.
Any help to clear this up for me would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

The dealer is wrong..
Think of the “P” as power REDUCTION and as with all your settings the HIGHER the number (or number of bars) the more INTRUSIVE it is.
I personally think that Honda should have listed it as such with a “PR”

Thats more like it, a good clear answer, which is what I was looking for. The dealer just seemed to confuse matters slightly. So, if I have 1 blue section lit, it’s full power, and 4 blue sections lit is least power. I understand now. Although in my mind, it should have been, more blue lit up, more power. Just seems a little strange Honda did it that way. But as you say, if I think of it as Power Reduction, it’s simpler to understand. Thank you for your reply.
P.S. In answer to your other reply, I have a manual version.(y)

So, given I almost always ride on Tour using Sport 2, I am almost on full power as Tour has one blue power segment. Its lively and fun though.
Need to learn how to program User 1, as at the moment I power down a bit by going to Sports 1 which goes up the gearbox a bit quicker so the revs are lower . Haven't tried S3 😱

I wonder how many motorcycle project designers/engineers are not riders? I bet we'd be surprised at the answer.

" ... no, no, the AT will display the power parameters this way. The rider will adapt their habit. This interface design makes sense to my son, who plays combat game videos all day. If anyone would know the best interface, he would for sure ... "

The bottom line to remember is the higher the number the MORE intrusive it is. lol that and the “P” is actually POWER DELIVERY it does not effect the actual horse power of the bike it just adds a ramping effect to the throttle ( the injectors the be more precise ) so the bike is less responsive.
